"Laughter and joke-telling is healthy and can be used to convey messages that may otherwise be too difficult to express!" - Jesse Eisenberg, A Marriage Counselor Tries To Heckle At A Knicks Game
Meanwhile, if I ever write a spy novel, the evil adversary country will be called Tangeria. It sounds like a country doesn't it? Perhaps that's where tangerines come from.

Please can the national anthem be Tangerine by Led Zeppelin?
If it is going to be a fictional country, shouldn't the National Anthem be something more tangential? After all, it's not as if we live in GodSaveTheQueen or AdvanceAustraliaFair.
My vote would be to adopt "Wluduoem" as the Anthem. I'm not sure if that's actually a song, but I've always wanted to try and work the word verification code into the text of a message. Bingo!
A raging Bruxist, I grew up on an ostrich farm until I was mistaken for a woman one time too many. Leaving my angsty post-teen life as one of three only children, I flew to Stockholm where I unexpectedly won the Man Booker Prize for lengthy blogging about being short. I'm perplexed to report that I like painting tiny Romans.

That is an excellent suggestion. But the lyrics simply won't do. I'd have to fit new lyrics to the music. Something like:
"Steel hands, golden heart,
O land of Tangeria,
You are a mother to me,
And my many brothers.
Once more we will rise,
Once more we will live our dreams,
Once more the world will know,
Tangeria, the mountain flower."
This of course is the English translation which is why is doesn't rhyme or scan.

This is such an important topic that I'm going to thrust it back onto the main page. See Monday 13 October for an update!
