Profundity

Why are they called recorders when they can only play?

Ahhhh - but they do record. The problem is that the memory card is so small that you only ever get a tiny nanosecond of recording. Most people misinterpret the very brief play-back as a high-pitched god-awful shrill whine.

You wait until Apple release the iRecorder. It will have 64G of memory and look fantastic. Mind you, it will also cost $900.
